A woman at work at Wellpaper training centerWELL means "Women's Empowerment through Local Livelihood" The project is a training and empowerment center for women from the surrounding villages of Auroville, India. Its two main goals are to provide livelihood for women and to develop / promote products made of recycled materials. By buying these products you improve the women's quality of life and support environmental awareness. Following completion of the training, the groups of ladies produce the products in their own profit sharing workshop. Wellpaper is part of Auroville Village Action Trust.
 
An environmentally friendly handicraft, rolled woven and pulped by the women of Wellpaper, using recycled materials, mainly newspapers, carton boxes, plastic bags, plastic bottles and polystyrene cartons.
